Anti-virtuoso-chanting & other noises!

A short video from the gig at the improvHelsinki
By Bull in a china shop can be found from the address below:

(Thanks Tuukka!)

I'm not sure if there's more video available from that gig,
but I'll try to check that
out. Also if I find a workin minidisc
(& it will read my distorted & broken disc) I'll
put the last two pieces in mp3 somewhere.

The stuff on the video is about as drone as it gets
with the Bull, but it also worked in a larger context
as a
"relaxing piece" for the audiance:
the last one of the evening from me, and
a follower for few more twisted improvs.

Well! Hope you like it! & Use maximum bass
from your stereo to listen to it for a delightful effect.

Bull in a chinashop at the ImprovHelsinki!

Had a nice intimate gig with noises, drones & electroacoustic exploration at the small but delicate space of the 'Barracks' in Helsinki. The Bull got his noises going with lots of looping & deviced recorded sound. Also the limit of somewhat 40 minutes was drawn into a improv of an hour, although kept in a loose structure. Arrangements for the gig where great & delightful to work with.

The night's menu consisted of:

I. Acoustic improv with high random passages of synth sound controlled by an absent minded tape recorder
II. Loops of percussion produced from an acoustic combined with rhythmic feedback noises & free passages for prepared guitar.
III. Noise variations based on the resitation-passages of Allegri's 'Miserere' with low two-voiced singing & other vocal impovs.
IV. A high minded noise piece in major for an electric guitar filtered through a distorted 4-track & lots of delay, featuring impulsive non-virtuoso chanting (Possible title: 'An all time high').

There will also be some video from the gig soon. Tell you when.
